Who we are

1.5 Degree is a new-age food brand built on four generations of food entrepreneurship, shaped by a very real and personal problem. From dealing with lactose intolerance to struggling with clean eating and not finding alternatives that truly worked, we realised the market was missing something better. Instead of adjusting to what was available, we chose to create it ourselves. After more than three years of research and development, working closely with global experts and food technologists, we built plant-based products that feel indulgent, taste great, and remain accessible made for people who want something better without compromising on experience.

What we’re solving

Let’s be real, dairy isn’t working for everyone anymore. It’s heavy on the planet, around 60% of Indians are lactose intolerant and adulteration + quality issues are real concerns At the same time, most “healthy alternatives” feel like a compromise. Either they don’t taste great, or they’re too expensive. And that’s where the real gap is. We’re solving for that space where what’s good for you, what feels good, and what’s good for the planet finally come together.

How we do it

From making our own oat milk to crafting sauces in house with fresh fruits and no artificial colours or sweeteners, every detail is intentional. Backed by years of R&D with global experts and manufacturing built to international standards, we’re among the few brands in India doing it this way. But it’s not just about how it’s made, it’s about what’s possible. From India’s first plant-based kulfi and vegan ice cream cakes to constantly innovating taste and texture, we’re reimagining desserts for a more conscious generation.

We saw a gap where health, taste, and sustainability were not coming together, and decided to build something that connects all three. A note from our founders

1.5 Degree started from something personal. Growing up around the food industry, we saw how food is made and experienced, but also the gaps, from lactose intolerance and digestive discomfort to concerns around quality and sustainability. The alternatives available never felt exciting enough, which led us to a simple question, why should choosing better feel like a compromise?

That question led to years of research, experimentation, and refining the one thing that matters most, taste and experience. 1.5 Degree is our way of making better choices feel easier, creating products that are good for people and the planet, while still being something you genuinely enjoy.
