1.5 Degree is the flagship brand of Natturz Bio Kontrol Pvt Ltd, incorporated in 2018. With roots in the 3rd and 4th generation of food entrepreneurship, our promoters have extensive experience in retail, distribution, and large-scale food processing, including aseptic fruit pulping lines. After 2-3 years of intensive market research and R&D, we identified a significant gap in the market for high-quality, palatable plant-based alternatives that cater to the larger needs of consumers.
Our founders, driven by the pursuit of healthier options, discovered a consensus among health experts—dieticians, dermatologists, and heart surgeons—advocating for plant-based diets. However, the Indian market lacked affordable, delicious, and readily available options. As individuals with lactose intolerance, they struggled to find products that met their needs without compromising on taste. This challenge spurred the creation of our brand, focusing on delivering taste and health through sustainable practices.

Veganism avoids harm by eliminating animal products, while Ahinsak Jainism emphasizes non-violence and compassion for all beings. Our founders were deeply affected by the suffering of animals they witnessed in north India. This inspired 1.5 Degree to offer 100% vegan, cruelty-free products as a compassionate alternative to dairy.
